Longarm Quilting Project Preparation

Before you mail your project, there are a few things you'll need to do:

-
Make sure your backing fabric is 5" wider on each side and 5" wider on the top and bottom. For instance, if your top is 80" x 80", your backing fabric needs to be at least 90" wide x 90" tall. Buying backing from Snowbird is easy option.

-
Clip loose threads from the back side. (of the top of your pieced quilt top) Mostly needed for white background fabrics, The darker fabrics will not show threads.

-
Press your quilt top, backing fabrics do not require pressing. Pin a note to the top of your quilt. Is the backing fabric directional? PIN A NOTE IF IT IS!

-
Choose your stitching pattern and list them ranked 1,2,3 on the order form. If you prefer, we can choose for you.

-
Fill out the order form. Print the form and the liability release linked. You only need to fill out the liability release once, as it does not expire. Your first quilt must be mailed in with the completed forms.
